Why did you choose your profession?
While I did choose to get a degree in plastics engineering, which launched my career in the broader plastics industry. The profession I chased after was delivering innovative solutions to launch business initiatives. My real passion is using creativity to grow, expand, and advance people, solutions, and ultimately the business model to capture the fullest potential.
What are your main influences?
I study people, their struggles and their accomplishments. I enjoy reading accounts of historical leaders and influencers. I also enjoy learning from current leaders of people. Leading people effectively is the key to great accomplishments.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
While I have had a number of significant experiences over three decades of results, some of which have gained national and international attention, the greatest accomplishments have been those moments where a team member, senior or subordinate or peer, have needed encouragement and/or direction. The greatest result is participating in their accomplishments, their overcoming, and their progress.
What methods do you use?
I enjoy bringing results and breakthrough using one or a combination of three approaches:
- Deploying improved business processes,
- Establishing relationships to capture opportunity, extend influence and make impact,
- Innovating and deploying the new.
Why do you get up in the morning? What motivates you?
I really enjoy serving people. They are my first “why”. However, I also love creating wins with people where we collectively deliver excellence to a clear vision and defined outcome. I really am passionate about creating economic wealth for a community. This is achieved by working with people and delivering results towards that clear vision.
